The Event

The Big Bike Bash is difficult to describe but easy to enjoy. Basically it is a weekend where you are camping with a load of friends watching people doing stuff on bikes, joining in and chilling out with a real ale festival and a live music festival too. It is for people who are into their mountain biking and like to race but also for their long suffering partners and children.

There are about 40 events scattered over the weekend ranging from Race Whippet XC to canoeing to ice cream. There will be fierce competition in some events like the XC and no competition at all in other events like the 1 lap fun XC.

Last year we had to stop people trading their children for the best weight balance in the trailer bike challenge and we also had my mother take part in her first ever bike race where simply finishing the lap was a victory.

This event really is what you want to make of it. We provide the venue, the events schedule (Yes, there will be one this year), the beer and the music. You provide the fun and enthusiasm that makes the BBB so special.
